Ultra Premium Pad
A densely needle punched recycled jute surface with a 100% natural layer of rubber backing. The difference between ours and others is that our rubber is actually sewn onto the jute pad, not a sprayed on latex. The problem with the sprayed backing is that it does not hold strong enough to the jute and eventually breaks down and/or sticks to floors.
Superior Rug Pad
A dense 40 ounce weight recycled jute pad. This is excellent for rugs that do not tend to slide and is perfectly harmless to all hard floor surfaces.
Super Hold Pad
An organic polymer containing natural oils. Ours is unlike the "waffle like" thinner pads that tend to stop working and/or stick to floors. Super Hold truly holds rugs down without harming the floor.
Types of Area Rug Pads
Area rug pads have come a long way. Today, they are made of either a synthetic fiber or natural rubber. Both types of rug pads do not shed, are non allergenic, are odor free and resist mildew. There are many qualities of area rug pads available today and the ones we offer at Rug Pad Corner are the best in their category.
Although most rug pads will protect area rugs, it is important to stay away from the very thin, waffle looking pads. A non slip rug pad with holes in it is good yet there are those on the market that are literally paper thin. These types of pads do not protect much and are usually replaced in less than a year. Our area rug pads are all meant to last 15 to 20 years before needing replacement.
Recycled jute pads are perfect for area rugs that do not tend to slide. Our Superior pad is made of 100% recycled jute and adds about a half of an inch support under rugs. It should be noted that this pad does not offer any non slip feature and hence should not be used under slipping conditions. For a similar feel and quality yet with a non slip side, our Ultra Premium pad is the perfect solution. This pad is made of needle punched jute throughout and are covered on one side with a 100% natural rubber backing, not inexpensive latex. This backing prevents rugs from sliding.
Non slip rug pads come in synthetic and rubber materials. Both are very good for rugs, particularly for rugs that tend to slide and move. Besides their non slip features, non slip rug pads also provide protection for area rugs. Our Super Hold pad is made of an organic polymer that does not harm floors. It is more than one eighth of an inch thick and contains holes. The combination of the holes and solid area of this pad creates a strong grip to the floor. Our non slip pad is still more comfortable to walk on than the thinner counterparts and lasts for up to fifteen years.
