40 Ounce Density
100% recycled felt jute is needle punched and compressed into either a 1/4 or 3/8 of an inch thickness to create a pad dense enough to protect your rug and floor, yet soft enough to add an extra comfort under foot. The top side provides a slightly stiffer foundation to protect area rugs and the bottom is softer to protect all floors. This pad is environmentally friendly and is CRI Green Label for air quality without chemicals or glues that can out-gas.
The Result
Superior is a rug pad that prolongs the life of your rug by adding a dense barrier between your rug and the hard floor. It protects your rugs and floors from premature wear. Superior has also been rated as an excellent noise reduction rug pad.

Optimal Uses
Use Superior with any new and antique area rug where sliding is not an issue. This rug pad prevents premature wear to rugs and floors, adds comfort for daily use and provides excellent sound insulation where necessary. Superior is excellent for covering any uneveness in floors as well as grout lines in tile. Note: If your rugs have a slipping problem, try our Ultra Premium or Super Hold instead.

I spoke to Sam and he was very helpful. He was able to tell me the size and even the way that the item would be shipped to me. I liked that there is free shipping to me and if it needs to be returned for any reason, the shipping is free as well. We'll see how the carpet pad is when it gets here but I felt that the customer service was too excellent to not rate.

It was well worth waiting a week for our rug pad which was sent from Connecticut to California. It fit our new 9x12 rug perfectly and makes it much more pleasant and soft to walk on. We intend to buy more pads as our home remodel progresses. It makes the rug look great on hardwood floors.

Great product,great company and customer service. We have purchased five of these rug pads so far and are quite pleased. Heavy weight, soft and cushy, no odor and cut to size. Really made these large rugs on our hardwood floors very comfotable and cozy. You will be surprised and pleased at the difference. Extremely fast shipping too.

This is a very fine rug pad, the thickest on the market at 40 oz. It makes my Karastan rug a pleasure to walk on and furthermore supresses the squeeks that I used to hear from my hardwood floor.
Furthermore, it is custom cut and has a minimum of folds in the delivery packaging. (Don't be misled by other dealers who have claimed the same thickness- weight in their E mail advertising --- their pads are only 32 oz.)
